Marie wears Danish brand Charlotte Sparre at the Copenhagen Cooking & Food Festival

On August 22nd , Princess Marie visited the Copenhagen Cooking & Food Festival which is one of her patronages. Prince Joachim wasn't announced at this event but he went with his wife in his quality of Patron of "CARE Denmark".

This year marks the first edition of the new Copenhagen Cooking & Food Festival. It is indeed a new collaboration between "Copenhagen Cooking ", which was the previous food festival of Copenhagen, and  the Food Organization of Denmark, which promotes Nordic gastronomy and food culture all around the world.

Since Marie was Patron of Copenhagen Cooking, she became patron of the new CCFF when the two organizations created this festival. She visited the Copenhagen Cooking festival in 2011, 2012, 2014 and in 2015.

The festival aims to "celebrate the culinary culture of Copenhagen as well as Denmark as a great food country". According to their website, " around 100.000 visitors participates every year and help celebrate the Nordic kitchen, the season's production and other great culinary experiences".

Princess Marie and Prince Joachim visited a lot of booths and even stopped at one to eat a hot dog.

The festival lasts 10 days with several events a day including events for children and this day's event was the Top Dog Charity contest. It's a hot dog competition with 8 teams from 8 different countries competing. Each hot dog is evaluated by a jury and the winner wins a diploma.

This year's competing countries were : Japan, England, Belgium, Ireland, Venezuela, Kurdistan, Norway and Denmark. Kurdistan won and Princess Marie awarded the Top Dog Charity 2016 prize to the three cook composing the team.

These hot dogs are also for sale and the money collected is gifted to "CARE Denmark" one of Prince Joachim's patronages. "CARE Denmark" has a project called 'Everyone has the right to food' in Tanzania and the project received 102,300 kr ( $15 500).

For this event, Marie chose to wear an all-white outfit ! She debuted the Charlotte Sparre ' Tulippa White/Rose' blouse that she paired with white bootcut pants. This is what the brand told me about the blouse : "The print is a bit different from blouse to blouse depending on how the material is cut. The material is by meter and therefore no blouse is exactly the same".
You can buy it on their website for 1,999 DKK ($ )
