UPDATED: Princess Marie joins Queen Margrethe in Odense

Yesterday, Princess Marie joined Queen Margrethe in Odense at the Syddansk Universitet , of which she is Patron. This was Marie's first official event since the death of her grandmother last week. Marie was very close to her grandmother and she was at the funeral in France last week with Joachim, Henrik and Athena.

It's not often that we see Marie and Margrethe together on official engagements but it's clear from the photos and various reports that they are very close.

They greeted each other with kisses and hugs ( and a curtsey for Marie) and after the events , spoke with each other for a few minutes before leaving as Billed-Bladet reports:
"Her Majesty flung her arms around Marie when she saw her and the Princess answered with kisses and hugs to her mother-in-law. [...] After the official speeches and the appointment of some honorary doctorates, Queen Margrethe and Princess Marie wished each other a good weekend and a gratifying 'see you later'."

Prince Joachim and Princess Marie at the Reception for the Olympic and Paralympic athletes

Today, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie (along with Queen Margrethe, Crown Princess Mary, Prince Christian, Princess Isabella and Princess Benedikte) attended a reception for the Olympic and Paralympic athletes at Christianborg Palace. Crown Prince Frederik didn't attend because he injured himself yesterday.

The reception is held after every Olympics and Paralympics games , and it's the same in most country, and the entire adult members of the family attends. This year, Christian and Isabella were there too, probably because they weren't in Rio this summer.

The family welcomed the guests to the reception , before Queen Margrethe made a speech to congratulate all the athletes.

For this event, Princess Marie wore red & white , the color of the Danish flag. She wore an old UFO jacket with a red dress. We first saw that dress last march , during her trip to the Faroe Islands. At the time, we had very limited photos so I couldn't identify it but i managed to find it to…

It's Theory and Naledi Copenhagen for Princess Marie in Copenhagen

Yesterday, Princess Marie was in Holmen's Church in Copenhagen as Patron of the Danish Emergency Management Agency.
This memorial service for deceased of fire and rescue services. This service was first held in 2006 and was usually attended by Queen Margrethe but this year, it's Princess Marie who attended.

In connection with the service, the Danish Rescue Price was awarded to the Fire Crews.

We have very little photos from this event so I made screenshots from Billed-Bladet's video.
For this memorial service, Princess Marie wore a new check coat. It's the Abla check double breasted coat from Theory. This is a new brand for Marie!

She also wore her Naledi Copenhagen clutch first worn in 2013 and UFO black pumps that she owns since 2013. Her hat is a hat from Whiteley that she first wore in 2014. This is the third time we see it.

We'll next see Marie next week for the reception of the Danish Olympics Athletes.

Princess Marie in repeated clothes for the Opening of Parliament

Today was the Opening of the Danish Parliament in Copenhagen. As every year, the whole royal family attend. From this year on, Prince Henrik won't attend anymore. You might remember that he announced he was retiring from most official events in last December.

The Opening of Parliament always takes place on the first Tuesday of October in the Parliament in Christianborg Palace.

Princess Marie has been attending the Opening of the Parliament since her engagement with Prince Joachim was official in 2008. Here's a look at each of her outfits.
