Prince Joachim and Princess Marie at a dinner at Egelund Castle

On September 23rd, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie were in Fredensborg to attend a dinner in Egelund Castle. There was no photo until today which explains why the post is only being written today.

This dinner was the closing dinner of the Chief of Defence's course. The dinner was hosted by the Chief of Defence Peter Bertram.

Prince Joachim became a special advisor in defence on November 1st 2015.
More from Kongehuset's press release:

" [The position is] in relation to the implementation of the new total force concept, which will strengthen the future use of volunteers in the Home Guard and personnel from the reserve. The new total force concept means, among other things, that the integration between the reserve and the regular structure is strengthened so that more equal and transparent conditions are established in relation to, for example, education and use. The work as a special advisor is adapted to Prince Joachim’s other duties. Prince Joachim will not receive a salary, as the Prince receives an annuity and therefore cannot receive compensation for government service. The primary workplace is Defence Command Denmark in Copenhagen. "

The Navy Drum Corps entertained the guests with music and jest before dinner.

Marie wore her Antonio Berardi first worn last year. The dress is from the brand's 2014 Pre-Fall collection.

A closer look at the bodice:

She paired this dress with her Jimmy Choo 'Karla' sandals that she owns since 2014. They are still available on Jimmy Choo's website for $513 . Her gold clutch is an old UFO.

We'll next see Marie on October 3rd and on October 4th for the Opening of the Parliament.
